~ The purpose of the Relationships and Biodiversity lab was to figure out what species was closest related. How close was there ancestors.
~ What I achieve in the purpose of this lab was to first look at the plants of botana curus, Species X, Y, and Z. Explain theirs features and compare. Another thing we had to do wat Match up random species amino acids after transphering them to protein amino acid sequences i think they were called protein amino acid sequences and we basically compared.
and my hopothosis was right Species Z matches botana curus and they both perduce curol.

--Describe the purpose of the Relationships and Biodiversity lab (i.e. what were you trying to do in the lab).
THE PURPOSE OF RELATIONSHIPS, BIODIVERSITY AND THE LAB THAT WE JUST COMPLETED IS TO LEARN ABOUT DNA FINGERPRINTING AND HOW IT HELPS IN EVERYDAY LIFE. BIODIVERSITY IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT KEEPS ALL THE OTHER SPECIES IN CHECK. FOR EXAMPLE IF WE LOST SOME SPECIES THERE WOULDN'T BE AS MANY SPECIES BECAUSE EVERY SPECIE DEPENDS ON ONE ANOTHER. RELATIONSHIPS ARE ALSO IMPORTANT TO KNOW BECAUSE IF TWO ANIMAL SPECIES OR PLANT SPECIES ARE RELATED THEN SCIENCE CAN FIND MORE INFORMATION THAT CAN POSSIBLY HELP US.
--How did you achieve the purpose of this lab (i.e. what tests did you conduct)?
THE TESTS THAT I CONDUCTED DURING THIS LAB WERE TO COMPARE THE PHYSICAL FEATURE OF BOTANA CURUS AND SPECIES X,Y, AND Z. THEN WE COMPARED THEIR SEEDS AND MICROSCOPIC STEM CELLS(OR SOMETHING ALONG THOSE LINES). WE WERE TRYING TO FIND WHICH SPECIES OUT OF X, Y, AND Z WAS MOST CLOSELY RELATED TO BOTANA CURUS, BECAUSE BOTANA CURUS MIGHT BE ABLE TO CURE CANCER.
--What were your overall results and conclusions?
MY OVER ALL CONCLUSIONS WERE THAT SPECIES Z WAS MOST CLOSELY RELATED TO BOTANA CURUS IN EVERY WAY. NOT ONLY IN PHYSICAL WAYS BUT IN THEIR SEEDS AND PIGMENT MAKE UP.
--Robin <3
In the Relationships and Biodiversity lab I was trying to find out which species, X,Y,Z, is most closely related to a plant called botana curus. The reason is because botana curus helps treat people with cancer and it's an endangered species and we need to find similar plants to help cure people with cancer.
The first thing I did was look at the physical feature of the botana curus plant like, the leaves, the petals, the stem, and the seeds. I looked to see what size, shape, and color they were Then I looked at the other plant species to see any similarities and if there were, I wrote them down. Then I looked through a microscope and saw samples of each plant on a slide and noticed if the plant was scattered or circular and wrote it down. Species Y was the only one that looked circular.
Then I got 4 small bottles that had liquid in them that were for each species. I took a drop from each bottle and put it on a piece of paper and let it dry and labelled it. Then I poured a little water into a plastic cup and after the paper dryed I folded it and put it in the cup of water. The next day I saw that 3 out of the 4 drops changed to a blueish pink color. Species Y was the only one that didn't change color.
The next test I did was to find out if the pant woudl fizz or not which means it had something in it to react to the baking soda. I put 4 spoons of baking soda in little containers and then I put a drop of liquid from each plant species on the baking soda. The first drop was from botana curus and it bubbled which means that the others would have to bubble to be realted to botana curus. The only liquid that bubbled was species Z.
The last thing I did was to decode the DNA strans from each species. I found that species Z had the same DNA,mrna, and amino acids strands as botana curus.
My conclusion is that species Z is the plant that is most ly related to botana curus.
- The purpose of the relationships and biodiversity lab was to let us understand the relationship between species and the biodiversity that had made the change in species. In this lab we were trying to see which species was related or most similar to the Botana Curus by examining the species from the way it looked and the structure of its stem cells.
- Some of the test that we had constructed are examning the species by the way it looked, examining the cell structure under a micrscope and used these special chemicals that when put in water it spreads out and you can see which species are most alike based on the colors if the color on the paper changed. We also looked at some DNA sequences and transfered them into mRNA to see which were similar to Bontan curus.
- After doing all the test the result is that the specie that was closely related to the Botana Curus was species Z. So my conclusion is that species Z is most closely related to Botana curus.

The purpose of the lab was to show if certain other species of plants, were close enough related to one species.
We analyzed the plants properties, physical and molecular, to show how different and similar the three other species were.
One other species was most closely related, while the other two had some similar properties, not as many as the first however.

--Describe the purpose of the Relationships and Biodiversity lab (i.e.
what were you trying to do in the lab). For this lab, the purpose is to understand how scentist tell when living things were related or have a common ancestor. This is in form of gel electrophoresis which is when DNA is cut into segments which normally tells our DNA similarities towards other living DNA.
--How did you achieve the purpose of this lab (i.e. what tests did you conduct)? For this lab test, I put the DNA drops from Botana Curus, Species X, Y, and Z onto a filter paper. Also, I examined that their DNA sequence.
--What were your overall results and conclusions? The result of this lab is that my hypothesis is right. I guessed that Species Z is the closest to produce Curul that is in Botana Curus. I determined this having evidence from cellular structure, DNA and characteristics.

--Describe the purpose of the Relationships and Biodiversity lab (i.e.
what were you trying to do in the lab).
In the lab we were trying to see which plant was most closely related to Botana Curus so that we can find another plant to produce the substance Curol.
--How did you achieve the purpose of this lab (i.e. what tests did you conduct)?
We examined the structure of the plants and their seeds. We also looked at their DNA sequences and their pigment colors/stains.
--What were your overall results and conclusions?
My overall result was that Botana Curus and species Z were most closely related because of their similar colors, structures, seed structures, stain colors, and DNA sequences.
The purpose of the Relationships and Biodiversity lab was to explain and learn how to use ways of explaining that two species are similar, like for example by chromatography or by using molecular evidence, and also by comparing and contrasting the structural evidence of the Botana Curus, species X, Y, and Z. In this lab we were trying to see which species, species X, Y, or Z was more closely related to the Botana Curus.
I achieved the purpose of this lab by conducting tests like the chromatography tests where we had to stain the paper, let it sit for a while, then compare the colors. i also compared the structure of the Botana Curus with species X, Y, and Z by comparing the number and color of petals, the width and length of the stalk, the structure, color and size of the seeds, etc.
My overall results and conclusions were that the Botana Curus and Species Z were the most closely related because they had the most similarities than all of the other plants.
The Relationships and Biodiversity lab was to teach us with activities about how certain species are related and how to find out which are related. We were trying to find out why Botana Curus and Species Z were related and how to do it.
-We basically compared structural traits and molecular traits. The molecular traits were important and we had to do various tests like paper chromatography and the amino acid match-up.
-My conclusions were that Botana Curus was related to Species Z and molecular tests were more accurate and important than structural traits comparison.
In the Relationships and Biodiversity lab we are trying to find out if the three species (x, y and z) are related to Botana Curus. We also wanted to see if x, y and z were related to each other. One test that we had to do was the structural evidence. We had to describe how the plants looked and how the seeds looked. We also had to do the molecular evidence test which included the chromography test. This test helped to see which species were closely related to each other. The results and conclusions of this test was that x,y and z came from Botana Curus. The two closely related species are species x and y.

1) The purpose of the Relationships and Biodiversity lab was basically to experiment seven different tests for the overall purpose of deciphering which species (x, y, or z) was most closely related to Botana Curus.
2. The way in which i achieved the purpose of this lab was by completing several tests such as : comparing the characteristics of petals and seeds amongst all plants, differentiating the microscopic stem structure, paper chromatology & few more. I also answered conclusion questions, and plotted data in tables and graphs.
3. The overall results and conclusions of the lab proved my hypothesis right ; species z was the closest related plan species to the Botana Curus. They had similar petal & seed characteristics, amino acid sequences, amino bands on the graph made, and overall had the most similarities amonst the other species.
1. We were trying to find the out which plant speicies were most identical to the plant Botana Curus.
2. I achieved the purpose of the lab by filling out the whole lab and you explaining it to us.
3. My results were my hypothesis was correct. My hypothesis was that speices Z is the most identical to Botana Curus. My conculision was of course that species Z was most alike to Botana Curus based on the physical characteristics and etc. of species Z

In this lab, you were trying to find the ancestor or related flower of the botana curus
We did a DNA testing lab to see which were most a like.
The final results were that species Z are most alike to the botana curus.
The purpose of the relationships and the biodiversity lab was to show us that even though things may look the same, they may not have the same ancestors or produce the same things. Like in the test when we tested for enzyme M, both species Y and Z tested positive for it, but you still needed to run more tested to narrow down the results to see which was most closely related to the botana curus to produce curol.
We conducted many test. There was the paper chromatography lab which showed us the pigment of the plants, we also tested for enzyme M which was found in the botana curus. Lastly, we did a gel electrophoresis lab. All of these labs helped to bring us closer to finding the relationship between one of the other species and botana curus.
My overall results and conclusions were somewhat I expected. I knew for sure that species Z was most closely related to botana curus. I did not expect species X and Y to be related. We finally figured this out when we had to write down the amino acid banding patters, and species X and Y were identical, the same with Botana Curus and Z.

The purpose of the Biodiversity lab was to understand how to identify which species are related. In this lab we found out which species of plant was related to Botana Curus and most likely Curol.
--How did you achieve the purpose of this lab (i.e. what tests did you conduct)?
I achieved the purpose of this lab by conducting molecular tests and by looking at the structural similarities. For example by the process of gel electrophoresis.
--What were your overall results and conclusions?
The overall results and conclusion of the lab was that species Z was most similar to Botana Curus. Through all the tests we went through during the lab, each result always came out to species Z being most closely related to each other.
The purpose of the realtionships and biodiverstiy is to see which species were most closey relatedd and how close they are realted.
I achieved this lab by observing the olants physical characteristics such as the petals and the seeds. Next we had to observe the how the xylem is formed. Then the chronotography came next and then we had to oberve the amino acid pattern.

The purpose of the Relationships and Biodiversity lab was to establish relationships between several different species using their traits and structure for proof.
I achieved the purpose of this lab by examining the traits of the 4 plants, which include their seeds, leaves, etc. I also examined their DNA/amino acid sequences, and colors.
My overall results were that the Botana Curus was most closely related to Species Z, because they have the same band sequence, and very similar traits.
1. The lab we did was to show us the relationships and biodiversity of other species. The activities in the lab asked us to compare the Botana Curus to other species and based on that information, make a hypothesis about which specied we think would be able to produce curol.
2. The first test i completed in the lab was to compare the differents species physical features. Another test we did asked us to make note of the stem's molecullar structure. After that we used chromatography and another test which showed if it contained enzyme M. These tests all proved that The Botana Curus is most likely closest related to Species Z. All of the test results showed that those two species were the most similar.
3. My final conclusion is that The Botana Curus is most closely related to Species Z and Species Z most likely is able to produce curol because they contain most of the same features and characteristics.

1. I was trying to find out which species of plant is more similar to the Botana curus than the rest.
2. We had to preform a series of tests that compared both molecular and strucural characteristics of the Botana curus, and the other species. Some tests were as simple as observing the plant and cracking a amino acid sequence, or more interactive things like dropping a bit of each species onto that piece of paper to look at it's desighns.
3. For every test, I saw that species Z's test results was the most similar to the botana curus than species X and Y. I have come to the conclution that species Z and the Botana curu's ansestors were not many generations apart from eachother.

In the lab I was to find which spieces is closely related to Botana Curus. We experimented and looked for samiliar features that Botana Curus may have with another spieces. Biodiversity is needed because if one species is taken out of a ecosystem then the whole ecosystem will fall apart. Biodiversity is important because it keeps the ecosystem in check.
2.How did you achieve the purpose of this lab (i.e. what tests did you conduct)?
The test I did during the lab was basically looking for some similar triats that a species may have with the Botana Curus. We oberserved the features of the flower and seed, and we also look at the celluar structure of each species. In the end species Z is most similar to Botana Curus.
3.What were your overall results and conclusions?
