It is important to have a controled experiment because you need a control variable or design to have a complete experiment. Without a control variable, you won't be able to compare results if you only have experimental variables. For an experiment to be a full experiment, it needs to have one control variable, and three experimental variables. This explains how and what is needed to have a complete controlled experiment.

it is important to conduct a valid controled experent so the results come out correct. For example like if I were to conduct an expirement that had to do with plants I would want to choose the same kind of plant and water it simularly.Because of simple details like that I can come out with a valid complete result.

It is very important to conduct a valid controlled experiment. The reasons are many. Basically a controlled experiment is an experiment that consists of a control group and an experimental group. The difference between these groups is that an experimental is the group that you are testing your experiment. The control group is not being tested. It is used as a comparison with the experimental group. Experiments also consists of many variables. In an experiment, everything must be kept the same except for what you are testing, in order to aquire accurate results.
An example of an experiment could be that scientist would like to check if a new developed drug works to prevent a certain illness. The experimental group would be the group that takes the drug. The control group will not take the drug. Both groups will be exposed to the illness and scientists will see what type of effect the illness had on both groups and was the drug able to prevent the illness. Now there are many variables within this experiment. One is that the people that are being exposed to the drug should all be healthy, making sure that nothing contributes to the person not getting sick or the person aquireing the sickness. Another variable is the age range. You can't have some that are 20 years old and some that are 50 years old being tested because most likely those of the elder age would get sick easier. It most consists of the sane age group because age does contribute to the effect of the results. It is important to have a controlled experiment because a controlled experiment will give accurate results. A experiment that is not controlled cannot obtain you accurate results because you do not have a group to compare the results to see if the experiment actually worked. So it is very important to have a controlled experiment.

Any experiment must contain four parts. Every experiment must contain an independant variable, a dependant variable, an experimental group, and a control group. Every experiment must contain an independant variable. Every experiment must contain a dependant variable. And the most important part of an experiment is the control group and the experimental group(s).
The indeependant variable of an experiment is something that you choose and something that you can control, for example time, temperature, amount of product used, amount of sunlight, etc. The dependant variable is the outcome of the experiment in which you cannot control. Such dependant variables can be height of plant, color, physical properties, etc. The experimental group of an experiment is the group that is being tested. The control group is the part of n experiment that is not being tested. The experimental group is there so you know what would of happened if whatever you had donee to the experimental group hadent been done.
There are four parts of an experiment. All of these parts are very important to the experiment. Without any of these parts, no experiment would be possibe.

It is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment for many reasons. One reason is that if you have no control in the experiment there is nothing to compare the data you got from the experimental group with. If you are not able to compare and contrast the control group with the experimental group then you will never know if your experiment had even worked. Maybe your experiment had no affect on what ever was being experimented, you will never know for sure without the control.
For example if you want to test to see if a certain home made plant food mixture that you made makes the plant grow bigger than regular plant food found in your local store. You will have to conduct a controlled experiment to even know if your home made plant food mixture was better than the store bought mixture. So basically the control group would be giving one plant the store bought plant mixture and the experimental group would be giving another plant your home made plant food. So then at the end of the experiment see which plant grew bigger.

It is important to conduct a controlled experiment because you would want the correct results and to make sure the results are more accurate try it out once or twice with many variables.

In the experiment there should be a scientific method, which helps you develop techniques. There should be variables such as hypothesis, conclusion, controlled group, experimental group, an independent variable, and dependent variable.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO CONDUCT A VALID CONTROLLED EXPERIMENT?

A valid controlled experiment is an experiment that contains a control group and an experimental group. First you have your experimental group in which you test on. Then you have your control group but you do not test on this group because it's used to check the validity of your experiment. When having both groups in the experiment, you must have the exact environment or conditions. The only difference is that the control group does not receive the testing material. Let's say that a scientist wants to test a influenza vaccination on 100 birds. He/she splits up two groups of fifty birds. Group A is his/her control and group B is the experimental. You can't expose only group B to the flu and not group A. It has to have the same conditions. So both group A and B will have the influenza and only my experimental group, which is group B, will recieve the vaccination. The vaccination is the testing material so therefore, only the experimental group gets it.
It is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment if you want your results to be proper and accurate. Although you will have trials and errors in conducting an experiment it's important that the first time you do it that you follow the scientific method. This is so you don't have room for serious mistakes in the design of your experiment.
The scientific method starts with stating your problem. Then comes your hypothesis. Next you have your experiment which breaks down to two subgroups. The first is materials which is where you list the supplies you need then you have procedure which is the directions/step by steps. After experiment there is data, the information you plan on gathering, and then you have your conclusion; basically what happened and what you learned. The next two steps are publish and report, and extend. Publish and report is when you write out a formal report on your experiment and extend is when you have questions asking what you could have done differently and so on. This is a brief explanation of the scientific method and it is vital because it gives you a layout of your experiment so you won't have any serious flaws when conducting.
Another thing to keep in mind is experimental design. Identify your experimental group and control group. Also identify your independent and dependent variables. Your independent variable is the variable a scientist can manipulate. This means they can "control" it. Your dependent variable is the outcome the scientist is testing. Let's say you know that temperature has an effect on the way a pepper plant grows. So you have four pepper plants. One is your control and the other three are you experimental. The three experimental plants are placed in temperature controlled chambers with different temperature settings. The temperature settings are your independent variable because you can manipulate this. It means you can control it; whether you want the temperature higher or lower. The dependent variable in this case is the growth of each pepper plant because this is the outcome based on the temperature controls.
These are all things to keep in mind when conducting a valid controlled experimental experiment. If you want results that are at least accurate then you should always keeps things like scientific method and experimental design in mind.

it is important to conduct a controlled experiment so your experiment is fair. for example in every experiment you always have a hypothesis, independent, dependent variable, the control and experiment group and of course your conclusion. The control group is the one you can control and the experimental group is the one you are testing. So its important for you to know the difference and its also important for you to know that without a controlled experiment your results will not be accurate and theres no point of you doing a experiment because the results wont be accurate like you want them to be or expect them to be.A controlled experiment allows a standard of comparison for the experimental group.

It is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment because if the experiment is done wrong and there are mistakes, then you won't have accurate results. In a valid controlled experiment you have more variables to control than in an experimental design where you would only have the dependent and independent variables.
To conduct a valid controlled experiment you first need to state the hypothesis to be tested. For example the hypothesis might be that a plant will grow best with the right amount of watering which will be 3 cups, and will not grow as well with more or less water than this amount. Then you have to describe how the experiment will be setup. So you would have a group of the same plants and call them group A and give them three cups of water. Then have group B who will get more than that amount. Then Group C will get less water. The reason for group B and C is to test the validity of the results. There has to be a description of what is and how the control group and experimental groups will be different. The control group is the plants given different amounts of water, they do not get the experiment but the plants getting three cups of water is the experimental group because it is getting the experiment. There has to be to factors that must be kept constant. The factors to be kept constant will be how many times the plant is watered, and how much they have grown.
In a controlled experiment there needs to be constant variables, independent variables, and dependent variables. The independent variable is the sunlight because we are not depending on that to make the plant grow. The dependent variable is the water because that is what is suppose to be making the plant grow in the experiment. The factors to be kept constant is the soil, air, sunlight, amount of water, and how many times a day the plants are being watered. The most important thing to do is to identify every variable that you think might affect your results. Lastly, you have to collect data, organize a chart or graph, and have a conclusion. The data I collected could be the plants in Group B getting more water grew better, faster, and bigger than the ones getting less water and three cups of water. Then my hypothesis would be false. It could be that I didn't control each variable correctly or something else. This would be included in my conclusion.
The scientific method is what is used to do a controlled experiment. The first thing I did in the example was design a question or problem, then state hypothesis, there has to be materials that is going to be used, a procedure which is how the experiment will be done, then gather information from the experiment(data), and last there has to be a conclusion which is a summary of the results.

Colleen Fox said...

It is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment because without a valid controlled experiment, you would get results that probably didn't make sense, and wouldn't be a true experiment.

For example, if you wanted to find out if the temperature of the room effects the growth of plants, you wouldn't put 3 different types of plants in the same temperature room. That wouldn't be a valid experiment. Different plants have different type's of growth rates, so it would need to be the same type of plant for it to be valid. Then the question is asking for different room temperature's, so you wouldn't put the plants in the same temperature room, you would put them in different temperatures.

It is very important to conduct a valid controlled experiment. If there is one mistake, the entire experiment is incorrect. There are many important factors that must be included to conduct a valid controlled experiment.

The first thing you do before starting the actual experiment, is to form a hypothesis. A hypothesis is a question that is based on the main idea. After, you must identify the independent and dependent variables. The independent variable is the variable that can be controlled by the scientist. In other words, this variable can be changed to fit the standards of the experiment. This variable goes on the x-axis of a graph. However, the dependent variable cannot be controlled by the scientist. In fact, this variable is the outcome of the experiment. This variable goes on the y-axis of a graph. After understanding the variables, you must know the experimental and control groups. The experimental group usually had 3 different testing variables. This group also receives the testing materials. However, the control group contains one variable without the testing material. This helps the scientist compare the results. Besides that, all the groups should similar or else, the experiment can be invalid.

It is also very important for the scientist to collect data. Collecting data is used to compare the results to identify if the outcome is accurate. Data can be collected through pictures, graphs, or charts. After the experiment is conducted the results must be revised and be concluded. If these steps are not followed you cannot have conducted a valid controlled experiment.

It is important to conduct a controlled experiment. It is imprortant because without it your answer wouldnt be clear.A controlled experiment is the experiment that doesnt have the independent variable. The independent variable is the one being tested in the experimental group.

If you want to test how good some sort of medication is, you want to see how effective it is. The controlled part of the experiment gets another type of medicine, while the experimental group gets the actual medicine. The scientists compare which one is more effective.

It is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment because when you conduct experimental groups, you have to conpare the experimental groups to the controlled group. The two differs from the one variable being tested. The experimental group is given the factor in the independent variable and the controlled group is not given that, so you can see if the factor of the independent variable is affective in the design. Both the controlled group and experimental groups would include constant variables. This would make everything in the experiment fair.
The independent variable is the variable I can control in the experiment, the factors that might influence the dependent variable are the independent variables. The control group is the group that is not given the factor in the independent variable. The experimental groups is given the factor in the independent variable. A control group is crucial for a scientific method.
If I were to design an experiment where I am experimenting how large a particular plant will grow with different colored lights, the independent variable would be the colored lights. The dependent variable would be the size the plant will grow, in an amount of days. My controlled experiment would be regular white lights shining on the plant. The other experimental groups would have different colored lights. It is important to state that in my scientific method.

It is important that if you are going to conduct an experiment you should conduct a valid controlled experiment because it gives you more accurate results. A controlled experiment should have a control, at least three expiremental variables, and an independent and dependent variable. It should also contain a hypothesis and conclusion.
The control in a controlled experiment is the variable that isn't being tested The purpose of this is to see if there is any changes during the experiment. A valid controlled experiment should have three experimental variables to make the experiment more accurate. The dependent variable is the variable that depends on the independent variable. You should always have a hypothesis to predict whats going to happened and a conclusion to say what happen and what were the results.

It is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment for many reasons. The first reason is that having a controlled experiment proves if your hypothesis is true or is false. For example, lets say you were performing an experiment trying to test if expensive soil makes your plant grow taller than regularly priced soil. If you test your experiment by having 3 variables in your experimental group (3 expensive soils) and no control(the regularly priced soil) you will not be able to tell if your experiment worked because you can only compare the 3 expensive soil's growths with each other, not with the regularly priced soil, which was the point of performing the experiment.
Another reason why it is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment is because you will be able to compare your results. If the plant using the regularly priced soil grows taller than the plants using the expensive soil, you know that your hypothesis is false. The information that you collect from the experiment is called data. To organize the data, you can make a chart or a graph, which should make the data easier to read and compare. After the experiment is over you should be able to tell if your hypothesis is true or false. In this case it would be false because the regularly priced soil worked even better than the expensive soil.

When scienctists try to prove something they need to conduct a valid, controlled, experiment. The experiment must contain many variables and have a control. If the experiment is not set up correctly results can vary widely and not be realistic and/or correct results.

Independant variables in all experiments, except the variable being tested, should always be the same in every experimental/control group. Things such as space, temperature, nurishment, items, and lighting, all fall into the independant variable category. Dependant variables(results) depend on the independant variable to change. if a controlled experiment is done correctly then the dependant variable should show the results.

Controlled experiments are necessary in obtaining important information to use in studies. Without using controlled experiments, we would never know if data retrieved from the experients is correct.

it is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment, because without a correct control the hypothesis won't be supported, and the conclusion won't be as ture. The hypthesis is the educated guess made from the. The controlled group is a group that is Not being tested. So, that it can have a revent answer. It's there to show you a different result of how it should be like, without the scientist testing their experiment on it. Because that would be the experimental group job. The experimental group is a group that's being TESTED. Som the scientist can test their hypothesis. The controlled group is also a independent varible. By that means, it's something that can do on it's own, and son't need to rely on anything, which is different from the experimental group. The experimental is the dependent variable, so the scientist can test their educated guess. it's is also important to conduct a valid controlled group to recieved a better positive result without doubt.

To conduct an experiment, you need to be able to follow the scientific method. The scientific method requires you to create a question to start your experiment. Atfer you've stated your question, come up with a hypothesis and gather materials needed and follow procedures in the experiment. During your experimentation, you'll have to make sure you collect important data. At the end of your experiment you can summerize & analyze your work. You can also publish & report your work and extend it if you have new questions or may want to re-state your hypothesis.

In an expermient, its important to have a contol and experimental group. A control group is the group that is not being tested but rather being used to check the validity of the experiment. The experimental group is the group that is being tested-getting the actual experiment. The independent variable is someting the researcher can "control". The dependent variable is the outcome the researcher is testing. All of these factors are necessary in a experiment, in order to get an accurate result.

All of the above are important to conduct a valid controlled experiment. For example, in lab #2, Mr. Curiosa experimented with two dogs instead of one, which was better because he could notice the differences of the dogs' growth. So at the end, he got an accurate conlusion.

When you are conducting an experiment, it is important for it to be controlled. When you conduct an experiment, you need to have an independent, and dependent variable. An independent variable variable is the variable that is being controlled, the variable that you are able to determine the outcome for. A dependent variable is the variable that you are testing. With this particular variable, you cannot tell the outcome, or your results. For example, lets say you come home and you find mud all over your carpet. You want to get the mud off, so you conduct an experiment in which you want to see if you put windex on one side of your carpet and water on the other, which would take the mud off of your carpet. The independent variable would be the water and the dependent variable would be the windex.
When conducting an experiment you also need to include experimental, and controlled groups. An experimental group is the group in the experiment that is the group in which you are testing your hypothesis with. The control group is the group that you are controlling, that differs from the group being tested. For example, in the experiment with the muddy carpet , the experimental group would be the half of the carpet sprayed with the windex. You cannot control the outcome of the windex on the carpet. The controlled group would be the water, you can control the out come of the water.
In conclusion, in order to have a valid experiment your experiment needs to be controlled. Your experiment needs to consist of an experimental group, controlled group, independent variable, and dependent variable. These things allow your experiment to be able to, result in successful outcomes.

Scientists conduct experiments to solve problems or a question to prove a hypothesis or an educated guess. These experiments may be around anything ranging from the amount of time a person sleeps to the ph leve of various substances.
These experiments are usually controlled experiments. Controlled experiments are experiments which have a control or a variable which does not recieve the independent variable or the thing being tested. For example if one is conducting an experiment testing the affects of different color lights on the growth of sunflowers, then the flower recieving no color light is the control. These are important because a control ensures that the independent variable truly has an effect in the experiment. A control ensures accurate data and conclusions.

It’s important to conduct a valid controlled experiment because if you don’t your conclusion will be in accurate.
All independent variables need to be controlled. An Independent variable is something that the scientist could control in the experiment which influences the dependent variable. The dependent variable is what the scientist will measure. The reason for this is so that the results of the experiment will show more accurately the effect of the independent variable that is being tested.
If the independent variables are not controlled it will affect the results of the experiment because there is more than one factor influencing the dependent variable. There should be only one variable being tested at one time. If the scientist doesn’t have a valid controlled experiment then he/she wouldn’t know if any of the experiments are even accurate.

It is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment for many reasons. It is important that you do experiments in parts.if you only do one result there can always be a mistake in one of the variables nut when you perform 3 or more samples then you can make and assumption. One example of keeping everything constant is using the same loaf of bred for the bread experiment. Another example is using the same plastic bags in an experiment using plastic bags.
Another reason to conduct a valid controlled experiment is Because the scientific method means thinking of a hypothesis and proving a cause and effect in nature. If there is no control, then you can not prove the hypothesis of the cause and effect because you can not prove that your experiment caused the effect.
One more reason that it is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment is that a well controlled experiment uses two groups of test subjects that are different one way which is the variable being tested. These are the 3 important reasons.

It is important to conduct a valid controlled Experiment so that you get accuret results. If you do an experiment without a control or variables you might not get a right conclusion. An example is that if you have three plants and want to test out if the plants grow with chemical x. You will put 1/8 tbs. per day in Plant A, 1/4 tbs. per day in plant B, and 1 tbs. per day for plant C. If you have A dandellion for Plant A, A rose for Plant B, and A lilly for Plant C you won't now if the plant that has grown the most grew because of the Chemical x or because it grows tall. If you had all of the same plant's you would see the differences. If you also don't have a control you wouldn't know how much they grew. If you don't have a control you wouldn't know if all the plants grew because of the Chemical x or because they actually grow that size. You must add a contol to use for comparrason. You will just give the control water. If it grows less than the experimental groups then the Chemical worked.

It is important to conduct a controlled experiment because if there is not controlled, it is not valid. If there is no control group, there is no way to tell whether or not the experiment was successful. The control group is usually the same as the experimental groups; the only different thing is the part being tested- that is the natural part. For example, if I am conducting an experiment to see how the amount of sunlight a plant receives affects its growth, I would place all three [experimental] plants in a room with artificial sunlight where they all receive different amounts of sunlight; the control group would receive artificial sunlight, but the amount of time would be how long the sun is up during that day.
if there is no control group, there is a possible chance that the results of the experiment will not be valid. There must be experimental groups along with the control group. The control group indicates how different the experimental are from the control, which are the results of the experiment.

it is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment because you need to have a control a independant variable, a dependant variable, an experimental group, and a control group in order to complete the experiment.

It is important to conduct a valid and controlled experiment because if there are any misconstrued details relating to an experiment that has no controlled factors, the scientists performing the experiment will be able to rethink and re-plan it.

It is important to conduct valid controlled experiment because a controlled experiment can give a valid result during experimental group , you are using different types of variables and most likely using most likely move than one scientific mental.
For example : a group of students that have swine flu are being tested by using a controlled environment and to prescribe certain antibiotic to reduce the swine flu and to keep monitoring the level of conditions or variables. Another group that do not have swine flu putting one with the virus to how it is spread. The result of the experiment can provide more information about the flu and the cure.

It is important to conduct a valid experiment because this would help the result to come out correct cause if you have one mistake the whole experiment will be wrong. During an experiment you should always use the right scientific method no matter what, it should contain variables like a hypothesis, controlled group, an experimental group, an independent variable, a dependent variable, and finally a conclusion.

It is very important to have a control group in an experiment. It is important because it is what is use to compare with the results of the experimental group. with out the controlled group you will be unable to tell if your conclusion is valid.

It's important to have a conduct vauild controled exparement because it's more eseyer to visual your exparemnet. You also need a hypothesis baesed on what you think, a dependent and independent varibles. The exparemental group means you will be testing the exparemaent. The controll group means you will be controlling it based on whats going on.

it is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment so the results come out right. For example, if i were to conduct a experiment something to do with plants, I would use the same kind of plants, but put less water in one of them, to see the results. And come out with a right result.
Example. Since the one with alot water grew more, the one with less water grew less.

It is essential to have a controlled experiment when doing a lab because you have a much higher chance of the experiment coming out correct over very accurate compared to having an experoment without knowing what is in store for you. You also need to plan out your experiments before you attempt them and always take good safety precautions because you can hurt yourself if you fool around too much.

It is important to have a controlled experiment. This is because you need a control variable for a correct experiment. The control varible is the one that is not experimented on & is compared to the one that is tested on. According to the scientific method you need these variables to conduct a proper experiment. Also the control variable & the experimental variable both must be the same but the difference is one is being tested on & the other isnt.

It is important to conduct a vaild controlled group because if you only use the experimental group you won';t be able to tell if your experiment worked because you won't have anything to compare the experiment with.

It is important to conduct a valid controlled experiment because if it is not controlled, it is not valid. If there is no control group, there is no way to tell whether or not the experiment was successful. The control group is the same as the experimental groups - the only difference being the part being tested. If there is no control group, there is a possible chance that the results of the experiment will be invalid. There must be an experimental group along with the control group. The control group indicates how different the experimental groups are from the control groups, which is the result of the experiment.
